Dan and Joolz Jackson's wedding party at the Regen Centre in Riccall
Wow. What a wonderful time I had at this party. I cannot get over how much support and enthusiasm everyone showed me as I performed close up magic for the guests at Dan and Joolz's wedding. Everyone I performed for was totally into it and egging me on for more and more. This helped my confidence no end.
With one group, I made one tiny mistake and missed a card which should have been there for the deadline trick but even with that missing card the reactions I got were amazing. People loved the bent coins in their hands. The ring to nest of wallets drew gasps of amazement. I pulled out a very old trick of a signed card put back in the card box to reappear in my trouser pocket - why did I ever stop doing that one?
Joolz got a signed card which morphed into an inverted card in front of her eyes - see the video.
Dan and Joolz each signed a separate card picked at random, both of which were lost in the deck and then they reappeared bonded together back to back. I hope they keep that card as a souvenir.
As always, the colour cube lie detector test went down a storm and I was also asked to repeat the book test a few times where someone looks at a word on a page and I divine the word they are thinking of without seeing their page.
It think it was Alice that I did the trick with where a card is chosen by spelling out a series of answers to four questions. With a subtle twist at the end that person is shown to have a fantastic personality. I enjoyed successfully performing a new favourite trick based on the old Cluedo game which Chris tried to work out.
Whilst I was showing someone a card trick my door camera rang me on my phone as a delivery man was at my front door with a package with no name on it. I asked him to show me the package and it was my spectators secretly chosen card.
The kids enjoyed coin through the bottom of a bottle, the nut which magically unscrews from the bolt, grandma's necklace where the cords pass through the child's hands and the lie detector test.
Wow, what an amazing magician Martin is; friendly, warm, a really nice gent. Our guests were blown away. We had so many of our guests coming up to us to say how entertaining and how great Martin is at magic. Loads of very puzzled faces!
He did a trick specially for me and my wife, to which we were dumbstruck to say the least (and yes Martin we have kept the card). And to top it all off he took some great pics too. We would highly recommend Martin for any event. Truly entertaining. Thank you very much. Dan and Joolz!,
